Happy Earth Day Everyone! :)

I think it was destiny that I viewed this magnificent film today titled "whaledreamers". It's the most moving, lifechanging documentary I have seen in my life. Perfect film to view for Earth Day. I highly recommend it: http://www.whaledreamers.com/html/
This blog will be about my reflections on life in general and my passions.

When my longtime companion of twenty years passed away in Dec. 2006 and my dear mother in Jan. 2009 I found myself choosing to live in my cocoon, my sanctuary; a highrise condo building in Greensboro, NC on the twelfth floor, facing west, where I have a wonderful view of the sunset every evening. I light incense, put on ambient music, watch the sunset and send healing, happy energy to friends and family.

I love to read metaphysical literature, watch good tv shows and movies, interact with others on Facebook and Second Life and occasionally think about rejoining the world outside these walls.

Current passions are the final season of Lost, Breaking Bad, Brothers and Sisters, Top Chef Masters, Survivor (guilty pleasure), Project Runway, Medium (outside of Breaking Bad, best writers on tv), Caprica (don't you love the music in that?), 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, 24, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Joy Behar Show on HLN. Yes, I'm a liberal Democrat, but I'll try to avoid that topic here. I'm dating a Republican Baptist at the mo so I guess the Universe is in balance thanks to me ;)

I started watching the tv show Lost while my Russ was dying. The aide who helped me during the day watched it with me, while Russ was resting. This show reflects many life and death matters for me. Being one who has always asked deep questions "why are we here?" "why duality?" "Destiny? Free will? both?" one can imagine why this show intrigues me.
